Tractor Collides with Car in Schwendi, Leaving Driver Seriously Injured

A 34-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after her car was struck by a tractor while turning onto a rural road in Baden-Württemberg.

The accident occurred Monday evening in Schwendi, a town in the Biberach district of Baden-Württemberg.
The 34-year-old driver was attempting to turn left onto the L259 when her car collided with a tractor driven by a 29-year-old man who had the right of way.
The tractor overran the front of the woman's car, a Ford Fiesta, leaving it severely damaged and requiring firefighters to extract her from the vehicle.
The woman was hospitalized with serious injuries, though authorities confirmed there is no threat to her life; the tractor driver sustained minor injuries.
Police estimate the total damages at €65,000, with €50,000 attributed to the tractor and €15,000 to the car.
