Toyota's 2025 Camry to be Exclusively Hybrid

New Model to Deliver 15% More Power with Hybrid Powertrain, Competes in a Segment Largely Abandoned by Detroit Brands

  • Toyota has announced that the next-generation 2025 Camry will be exclusively hybrid, marking a first for the model.
  • The 2025 Camry will be equipped with Toyota's latest hybrid system with stronger motors and will be compatible with All-Wheel Drive.
  • The new Camry will compete in a segment largely abandoned by Detroit brands, with its direct competitors being the Honda Accord, the Hyundai Sonata and Tesla's all-electric Model 3.
  • The hybrid powertrain and a new electronic all-wheel drive system deliver 232 combined horsepower – nearly 15% more than the outgoing Camry with a mechanical all-wheel drive system.
  • The 2025 Camry will be designed and assembled at Toyota's facilities in the U.S., where most of its employees just received pay raises and more paid time off as Toyota looks to stave off unionization attempts from the United Auto Workers.
