Toyota Unveils bZ Time Attack EV Prototype With 400-Plus HP Ahead of SEMA

The one-off serves as a rolling test bed for EV motorsport development using rapid‑prototyped aero components.

Overview

  • Built from the refreshed 2026 bZ AWD platform, the dual‑motor setup is tuned to deliver over 300 kW to all four wheels.
  • The chassis sits six inches lower with a six‑inch wider track and integrates a front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a large wing.
  • Motorsport hardware includes TEIN coilovers, an Alcon braking system with Hawk pads, a full FIA‑spec 4130 chromoly cage, OMP HTE‑R seats, and 19×11 BBS wheels on 305/30ZR19 Continental tires.
  • Toyota R&D, TRD, and partners used laser scanning, CAD, and large‑format 3D printing through the Toyota Add Lab to rapidly produce the widebody and aero pieces.
  • The functional race prototype will be displayed Nov. 4–7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Toyota’s SEMA booth (Central Hall, Booth 22200), and independent outlets report it is not production‑bound.
