Toyota Recalls Nearly 394,000 U.S. Tundra and Sequoia Vehicles, Plus 32,733 in Canada, Over Rear Camera Software Fault

Owner notices will go out in November, with dealers providing a free software fix.

Overview

  • U.S. regulators recorded the recall on Oct. 1 covering 393,838 vehicles, including 2022–2025 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid models and 2023–2025 Sequoia Hybrid models.
  • Transport Canada lists 32,733 affected Sequoia and Tundra vehicles equipped with the 14‑inch multimedia display.
  • Toyota and regulators attribute the issue to center‑display software that can render the rearview image distorted or blank, reducing rear visibility and increasing crash risk.
  • Dealers will update the multimedia software at no charge, with owner notification letters expected as early as Nov. 16 in the U.S. and by late November in Canada; recall numbers are 25TB10 and 25TA10.
  • Many affected units were built at Toyota’s San Antonio plant, and the action follows other display‑related software recalls by the automaker earlier in 2025.
