Overview
- Toyota Kirloskar Motors introduced 48V NeoDrive mild-hybrid versions of its Fortuner and Legender models at ex-showroom prices of ₹44.72 lakh and ₹50.09 lakh respectively.
- The 48V NeoDrive system provides electric assist for smoother acceleration and automatically stops the engine at signals to enhance fuel efficiency.
- New features include a 360-degree parking camera, multi-terrain select mode and a wireless charging pad across both SUVs.
- Both models retain the 2.8 L inline four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 200 bhp and 500 Nm of torque paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
- Toyota says the NeoDrive technology enables quieter starts and reduced engine strain as part of its multi-pathway approach to sustainability.
