Overview
- The GR GT prototype pairs an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with modest hybrid assist for a targeted 641–650 hp and about 627 lb-ft.
- A new all-aluminum chassis with carbon-reinforced panels, double-wishbone suspension and rear transaxle packaging targets a 45:55 weight distribution.
- Hybrid hardware sits in the transaxle with an electric motor between the driveshaft and 8-speed gearbox and a battery mounted above the transaxle.
