Overview

- York and Cumberland counties in Pennsylvania shifted several communities to Friday 6–8 p.m., while East Pennsboro advised Saturday 4–6 p.m., reflecting National Weather Service guidance for heavy rain and possible thunderstorms on Thursday.
- In the Pittsburgh region, Beaver County communities including Ambridge and Rochester moved trick-or-treat to Saturday 6–8 p.m., and Midland went to Wednesday, as forecasters warn Friday evening will be chilly and blustery with wind chills in the 30s.
- Central Ohio shows mixed approaches: Alexandria moved to Friday 6–7:30 p.m., Hebron reversed an earlier change to keep Thursday, and cities such as Heath, London, Marion, Ostrander and Worthington say events will proceed without a makeup date.
- Environment Canada issued special weather statements for New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for Friday, Bathurst moved trick-or-treat to Nov. 1, and meteorologist Cindy Day says rain may taper near 6 p.m. in parts of Nova Scotia, though Cape Breton could face hazardous winds.
