Overview

  • The queen stage spans 171.5 km with 5,450 m of elevation gain across the Col du Glandon (21.7 km at 5.1 percent), the Col de la Madeleine (19.2 km at 7.9 percent) and the Col de la Loze (26.4 km at 6.5 percent).
  • The peloton departs Vif at 12:20 p.m. local time and is scheduled to reach the Col de la Loze summit via Courchevel around 5:30 p.m.
  • Tour route planner Thierry Gouvenou called the stacked HC sequence a return to classic mountain days that “will hurt badly.”
  • Tour director Christian Prudhomme dubbed the Loze the “col of the 21st century” as its final ramps exceed 14 percent and climb to 2,304 m.
  • Cool temperatures and possible rain are forecast, heightening tactical uncertainty as Tadej Pogacar defends a four-minute lead against expected attacks from Jonas Vingegaard’s team.
