Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition Confirmed for PC Release
The remaster updates the decade-old strategy classic with modern performance, new language audio, built-in mod tools and expanded online play to widen its audience.
Overview
- SEGA and Creative Assembly announced the Complete Edition will launch on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store on October 13, 2026.
- The package bundles the original Shogun 2 and every piece of paid DLC, explicitly including the Rise of the Samurai and Fall of the Samurai campaigns.
- Technical modernizations include a 64-bit build, improved lighting, shadows and textures, 1440p/4K UI scaling, modernized controls and ultrawide support to run better on current PCs.
- The game adds more than 50 newly playable minor factions and expanded multiplayer systems such as Avatar Conquest mode, cooperative and competitive campaigns, and hosted lobbies for up to eight players.
- Built-in Mod.io support and new full Japanese and Chinese voice and text localization aim to broaden accessibility and encourage a revival of single-player and online communities around the 2011 classic.
