Sugar Foods has recalled 3.5-ounce pouches of Fresh Gourmet Santa Fe Style Tortilla Strips due to undeclared wheat allergen contamination.
The issue arose when crispy onion strips, which contain wheat, were mistakenly packaged instead of tortilla strips.
The recalled products were distributed between September 30 and November 11, 2024, across 22 states, including Arizona, California, and Texas.
No illnesses have been reported, but consumers with wheat allergies face serious or life-threatening risks if the product is consumed.
Consumers are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of it immediately.
