Overview
- The crossing over the Barranco del Poyo reopened to pedestrians and vehicles at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, roughly nine months after the October DANA.
- Works replaced damaged stone elements using about 20 tonnes of sillería, roughly 150 stones and 23 dovelas under specialist conservation methods.
- Structural upgrades include a continuous upper deck, strengthened foundations and lightweight concrete at the center to limit load and improve resilience to future surges.
- Local bus services resume, with lines 170 and 106 returning to their normal routes for commuters between Torrent, Alaquàs and Valencia.
- Officials attending included government subdelegate José Rodríguez Jurado, Torrent mayor Amparo Folgado and acting Alaquàs mayor Sandra Conde, who noted national funding within a €1.7 billion municipal recovery program that has allocated over €114 million to Torrent.
