• Police allege the 40-year-old Pialba man was assaulted at a Fraser Street address, fled to Torquay Terrace, and died shortly after being found conscious.
• Three crime scenes were declared across the area, including the Fraser Street property, the Torquay Terrace location, and an ambulance used in treatment.
• Investigators say injuries are consistent with a strike from a non-edged, non-firearm object and believe the weapon was a baton or pole that has not been recovered.
