Toronto Raptors to Retire Vince Carter's Jersey in November

Carter will be the first Raptors player to receive this honor, with another ceremony planned by the Brooklyn Nets in January.

Vince Carter's No. 15 jersey will be retired by the Toronto Raptors on November 2, 2024, marking the first such honor in the franchise's history.
The ceremony will coincide with Carter's induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, where he will be introduced by Julius 'Dr. J' Erving and Tracy McGrady.
Carter, known as 'Air Canada,' played six-plus seasons with the Raptors, winning Rookie of the Year in 1999 and leading the team to its first playoff appearance.
Despite his controversial exit from Toronto in 2004, Carter's relationship with the team's fans has improved over time, culminating in this recognition.
The Brooklyn Nets will also retire Carter's jersey on January 25, 2025, acknowledging his significant contributions during his five seasons with the team.
