Toronto Police Investigate Spate of Overnight Violence Leaving Two Dead

Two homicides and two other shootings occurred within a four-hour span in different parts of the city, police say.

Toronto police are investigating two homicides and two additional shootings that took place from Monday night to early Tuesday morning.
A man in his 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a North York plaza parking lot and later died in hospital.
Another man was fatally stabbed outside a restaurant near Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue.
Police responded to a shooting near Berkeley Street and The Esplanade, where a victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
In a separate incident, a man was found with serious injuries following a shooting in a laneway near Eglinton Avenue and Laird Drive.
