Toronto Police Arrest Bolo ‘Most Wanted’ Fugitive Nicholas Singh, Add Firearm Charges

Police say they seized a handgun with an extended magazine during the late-night arrest.

Overview

  • Officers found Singh in a vehicle near Bathurst and Dupont around 11:20 p.m. on Nov. 21 and arrested him without incident.
  • Singh had been wanted nationwide for breaching parole after going unlawfully at large on May 31, 2024, while serving a five-year, five-month, 10-day federal sentence for robbery and firearm offences.
  • Toronto police allege they recovered a firearm, an extended magazine and ammunition despite a prior court order prohibiting him from possessing weapons.
  • He now faces six new counts, including possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence, possessing a loaded regulated firearm, and possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.
  • The Bolo Program credited coordinated work with Toronto Police and the OPP ROPE squad for the capture, while other suspects on the Bolo list remain at large.
