Toronto Mother Dies Weeks After Family of Five Struck by Driver in Crosswalk

The 39-year-old woman succumbed to injuries sustained in an October collision that also hospitalized her husband and three children.

A 39-year-old Toronto woman has died from critical injuries sustained in an October 2 collision in Etobicoke, police confirmed.
The incident occurred when a 77-year-old driver made a left turn and struck the woman, her 45-year-old husband, and their three children—aged four, one, and one month—who were crossing in a marked crosswalk.
The father and children suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were also hospitalized following the collision.
The driver, operating a red 2017 Toyota Corolla, remained at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
Toronto police are continuing their investigation and are seeking witnesses or dashboard camera footage to aid in the case.
