- Spicer, a 23-year-old junior from Trinidad and Tobago, scored 14 goals this season, giving him a total of 29 goals in 57 career college games.
- Colorado Rapids selected Duke midfielder Wayne Frederick second and Maryland forward Kimani Stewart-Baynes fourth in the draft.
- FC Dallas chose Oregon State forward Logan Farrington third overall in the draft.
