Tornado Rips Through Aldershot, Damaging Homes and Trees

The mile-long tornado caused significant property damage but no injuries, as residents and emergency services rallied to secure the area.

The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (Torro) tracked the tornado's path to be 2km long, with a preliminary rating of T1 or T2, indicating mild to moderate intensity.
Emergency services, including crews from Rushmoor and Surrey fire and rescue services, responded quickly to secure the affected areas.
Significant damage was reported in multiple locations, including Cadnam Close, Lower Farnham Road, and Osprey Gardens, with trees uprooted and roofs damaged.
Residents described the event as terrifying, with intense swirling winds and debris flying, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Local MP Alex Baker and community members praised the collective effort in the cleanup and securing of damaged properties.
