• Police responded around 11 a.m. on Sept. 6 to reports of gunfire at the Paragon Apartment complex in Jackson Township and found Reid unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds near the exit.
• Officers observed a man fleeing and took 29-year-old Shaquille Green into custody on a nearby road without incident, officials said.
• Prosecutors charged Green with first-degree murder and weapons offenses, and he is being held at the Ocean County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.
