Max Klare, the top-ranked tight end in the NCAA transfer portal, has committed to Ohio State after a standout season at Purdue.
Klare led Purdue in 2024 with 51 receptions for 685 yards and four touchdowns, ranking sixth nationally in receiving yards among tight ends.
The redshirt sophomore chose Ohio State over other programs, including Michigan, Texas, Texas A&M, and Louisville, and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Klare highlighted Ohio State coach Ryan Day's track record of player development and NFL preparation as key factors in his decision.
