  • Jharkhand police and CoBRA commandos killed three in Hazaribagh, including Central Committee member Sahadev Soren carrying a ₹1 crore bounty, and recovered three AK-47s during an ongoing search.
  • In Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband, security forces earlier killed 10 Maoists including Central Committee member Modem Balakrishna, who police say was implicated in the murders of A.P. ex–home minister A. Madhava Reddy and DIG K. S. Vyas, with multiple automatic weapons seized.
  • Separate Bijapur operations over September 12–13 neutralised Hidma Podiyam, Munna Madkam and Arun Madkam, with recoveries including a barrel grenade launcher, rifles, explosives and Maoist literature.
  • Senior leader Pothula Padmavathi, known as Sujatha, surrendered to Telangana Police after decades underground and received a ₹25 lakh reward under the rehabilitation scheme.
  • A Maoist linked to the TSPC, Mukhdev Yadav, was killed in Palamu with an INSAS rifle recovered, as officials reported 241 Maoists killed in encounters across Chhattisgarh this year.
