- Jharkhand police and CoBRA commandos killed three in Hazaribagh, including Central Committee member Sahadev Soren carrying a ₹1 crore bounty, and recovered three AK-47s during an ongoing search.
- In Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband, security forces earlier killed 10 Maoists including Central Committee member Modem Balakrishna, who police say was implicated in the murders of A.P. ex–home minister A. Madhava Reddy and DIG K. S. Vyas, with multiple automatic weapons seized.
