The top four seeds, 4Aces GC, Crushers GC, Torque GC, and RangeGoats GC, won their respective semifinal matches on Saturday at the LIV Golf Team Championship, advancing to the final round on Sunday at Trump National Doral Golf Course.
Attempting to defend its championship, 4Aces GC, led by captain Dustin Johnson, beat HyFlyers GC 2-1 with Johnson securing a 2 and 1 win over HyFlyers captain Phil Mickelson.
Second-seeded Crushers GC also emerged victorious 2-1 over Cleeks GC, driven by a 4 and 3 win from captain Bryson DeChambeau and a 6-and-5 win by Paul Casey.
No. 3 Torque GC, with Joaquin Niemann as captain, swept fifth seed Stinger GC 3-0, marking the only clean sweep in the semifinals.
RangeGoats GC, although initially lagging behind due to captain Bubba Watson’s loss to Sergio Garcia of Fireballs GC, rebounded to secure a 2-1 win, with a notable performance by Talor Gooch who beat Eugenio Chacarra 2 up.
