Tony Stewart Returns to NASCAR for Daytona Truck Opener in Kaulig Ram No. 25

The one-off start launches Ram’s re-entry through Kaulig’s five-truck program with a rotating Free Agent seat.

Overview

  • Stewart, 54, will drive the Craftsman Truck Series race on Feb. 13 at Daytona, marking his first NASCAR start since 2016.
  • The appearance is his first Truck Series start since 2005, and he will be the inaugural driver of Kaulig’s No. 25 Free Agent entry.
  • Kaulig and Ram plan five full-time trucks in 2026 with Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye and Justin Haley, plus a “Race For The Seat” competition to fill another ride.
  • Stewart said he has raced nearly everything at Daytona but never a truck and called Ram’s Free Agent program a fun way to stay sharp.
  • The Hall of Famer owns 49 Cup wins and two Truck victories in six starts, and Kaulig and Stellantis executives said his presence will energize the launch.
