Tony Mowbray Appointed as New Birmingham City Manager

Former Sunderland head coach replaces Wayne Rooney, with his first game in charge set for Saturday against Swansea.

Tony Mowbray, former Sunderland head coach, has been appointed as the new manager of Birmingham City, replacing Wayne Rooney.
Mowbray, who was sacked by Sunderland in December, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Birmingham City.
Wayne Rooney was sacked earlier this month after winning only two out of his 15 games in charge.
Birmingham City currently sits 20th in the Championship, six points above the relegation zone.
Mowbray's first game in charge will be Saturday’s Championship clash at home to Swansea.
