In a corresponding move, the Orioles designated infielder/outfielder Nick Maton for assignment.
Kemp batted .209 with five home runs and 27 RBIs over 124 games for the Oakland Athletics in 2023.
His career highlights include a career-high 15 stolen bases last year and playing for teams such as the Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland Athletics.
