Lua, a Pitbull mix, had been a prominent part of the family since Brady and Bündchen adopted her, even appearing in a 2014 Ugg commercial alongside Brady.
The death of Lua comes in a tough year for the family, following Brady and Bündchen's divorce last fall.
Bündchen has since resettled in Miami with their children, Benjamin and Vivian.
