• Muratake Rashid finished fifth in the men’s 110m hurdles final in 13.18 seconds at the National Stadium on Sept. 16.
• American Cordell Tinch won the 110m hurdles in 12.99, while Japan’s Shusei Nomoto and Shunsuke Izumiya did not advance to the final.
• Muratake progressed from the semifinals in 13.17 before securing Japan’s second straight championship top-eight finish in the event.
