  • Day 8 features the 20 km race walks, the start of the men’s decathlon, the conclusion of the heptathlon, heats in the 4x100 m and 4x400 m relays, and finals in women’s shot put and javelin, the women’s 5000 m, and the men’s 800 m.
  • ZDF carries Saturday’s coverage on TV and via ZDF-Mediathek from 1:15–5:15 and 12:15–15:30 (MEZ), with additional live updates and streams available on sportschau.de.
  • German entries today include race walkers Leo Köpp and Christopher Linke, decathletes Leo Neugebauer, Niklas Kaul and Till Steinforth, the men’s 4x100 m quartet of Deniz Almas, Marvin Schulte, Owen Ansah and Lucas Ansah-Peprah, and the women’s 4x100 m led by Gina Lückenkemper; the women’s 4x400 m team also races heats.
  • The championships run from 13 to 21 September at Tokyo’s National Stadium, the venue built for the 2020 Olympics with a capacity of nearly 68,000.
  • More than 2,000 athletes from over 200 nations compete across running, jumping, throwing and combined events, with daily morning and evening sessions listed in MEZ.
