Tokyo Disney Halloween Opens After Preview Cancellations Over Heat and Wind

Weather risks triggered last-minute cancellations at the media preview.

Overview

  • Disney Halloween runs daily from September 17 to October 31 across Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
  • At the September 16 media preview, Tokyo Disneyland’s daytime parade, The Villains’ Halloween “Into the Frenzy,” was called off due to temperatures above 90°F and performer-safety protocols for heavy costumes.
  • The resort also canceled the Night High Halloween fireworks that day, noting on its official site that performances may be canceled depending on wind conditions.
  • Core seasonal offerings continue, including the debut of the Coco-inspired Lazos de la Familia in DisneySea’s Lost River Delta with Día de los Muertos decor, live mariachi performances, and themed food at Yucatan Base Camp Grill.
  • Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” runs from September 16 to January 12, and guests may wear full costumes only on September 16–30 and October 16–31 this season.
