Toei Animation Announces 'Hypergalactic,' Its Most Ambitious CGI Project Yet

The film, co-created by Sonic designer Naoto Oshima and Joseph Chou, aims to blend Japanese anime aesthetics with Western storytelling.

'Hypergalactic' features a story and characters from Naoto Oshima, the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog, and is described as Toei Animation's most ambitious film to date.
The English-language CG action adventure follows a teenage girl and her little brother as they embark on a journey with Earth's forgotten protector to find their missing parents.
The movie boasts a star-studded voice cast including Adam Devine, Elsie Fisher, and J.K. Simmons, and is directed by David N. Weiss, known for his work on 'Shrek 2'.
Toei's recent successes, such as 'Dragon Ball Super' and 'One Piece Film: Red', set a high bar for 'Hypergalactic's anticipated impact.
Currently in post-production, 'Hypergalactic' is set to be launched for worldwide distribution at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin.
