Toast Interactive, a Gold Coast-based VR studio, has announced the closure of its office and the layoff of most of its staff.
The studio's co-founders, Toni and Richard Eastes, described the decision as 'heartbreaking' and expressed gratitude for their team's accomplishments.
The company plans to continue supporting its VR titles, Richie’s Plank Experience and Max Mustard, with a smaller team.
Richie’s Plank Experience, a globally popular VR game, is still expected to launch on PSVR2, though this has not been fully confirmed.
Founded in 2016, Toast Interactive gained recognition for its innovative VR experiences, including the award-winning Max Mustard.
