Overview

• Harrisburg held its first 9/11 Heroes Run at the Harrisburg Area Community College campus with well over 100 registrants and a course that passed an on-campus 9/11 artifact.
• The one-mile portion in Harrisburg was dedicated to Dane, a Marine who died by suicide, to spotlight veteran mental health and prevention.
• Yuma’s race expanded to almost 600 registrants after a late surge, far exceeding the roughly 250 participants organizers initially anticipated.
• Yuma organizers said 100% of proceeds from their event will go to the Travis Manion Foundation’s mission.
• Local first responders joined the Yuma run, including the Yuma Fire Department, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, Yuma Police Department and Marine Corps Community Service.
