Overview

• On July 27, Trinamool Congress leaders and activists held coordinated rallies across Kolkata, Chuchura, Bankura, Birbhum and Cooch Behar to protest alleged atrocities on Bengali-speaking migrant workers in BJP-ruled states.
• Mamata Banerjee will lead a three-kilometre ‘Language Movement’ march on July 28 in Bolpur, beginning at the Tourist Lodge crossing and ending at the Jamboni bus stand.
