Téléthon 2024 Raises Nearly €80 Million for Rare Disease Research

Funds raised will support research into rare diseases, including a promising upcoming trial for the myopathy of Duchenne, with funding needs exceeding €30 million in 2025.
The event included 30 hours of live broadcasts on France Télévisions and thousands of local fundraising activities across France, such as gaming marathons and a tombola.
The gaming initiative, held in Évry-Courcouronnes, raised €360,614, surpassing its 2023 total, with 70 streamers and 200 participants engaging audiences on Twitch.
Donations remain open through Friday via the Téléthon website and hotline, with the funds enabling 40 clinical trials targeting over 30 rare diseases.
