Titans Waive Matthew Wright as Joey Slye Expected to Return vs. Patriots

The change follows Slye’s Oct. 5 injury recovery ahead of Tennessee’s first game under interim coach Mike McCoy.

Tennessee removed Matthew Wright from the practice squad after using him in Week 6, clearing the way for Joey Slye to resume duties on Sunday.
Slye opened the season as the Titans’ kicker before getting hurt on Oct. 5 against Arizona and has converted 13 of 17 field goals this year.
Wright handled kicking in the 20-10 loss at Las Vegas on Oct. 12, making a 46-yard field goal and an extra point.
Sunday’s matchup against New England in Nashville will be the Titans’ first under interim coach Mike McCoy following Brian Callahan’s Oct. 13 dismissal.
The Titans worked out linebackers Joe Bachie, Blake Lynch and Kana'i Mauga, then signed Bachie to the practice squad for depth.
