Titans' Treylon Burks In Concussion Protocol, Expected Recovery After Scary Injury During Steelers Game

Titans' coach Mike Vrabel confirms Burks has movement in all extremities following serious injury, describes player as alert and moving; Burks had sustained a similar concussion during his rookie year in Philadelphia.

Titans' wide receiver Treylon Burks briefly lost consciousness after a fall during the final minutes of a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was placed in the concussion protocol.
Burks was immobilized and carted off the field. Coach Mike Vrabel later reported that Burks had movement in all extremities, was 'alert', and 'moving' in the training room after the game. He also walked out of the locker room under his own power according to multiple reports.
This is the second time within a year that Burks has been knocked unconscious during a game; the first incident was during his rookie year in Philadelphia.
Despite the initial fears, Coach Vrabel shared an optimistic outlook for Burks' condition stating that it was likely 'better than how it looked'.
Before his injury, Burks had made two catches for 23 yards in the game. In five games this season, he has eight catches for a total of 122 yards and has yet to score a touchdown.
