Overview
- The Titans are 0-3 following Sunday’s 12-7 loss to the New York Giants and rank near the bottom of the league in points and total yards.
- ESPN reporting says the front office plans to give No. 1 pick Cam Ward more time to learn Brian Daboll’s offense rather than bench him immediately.
- Multiple outlets and league insiders describe an obvious disconnect between Ward and the coaching staff and say the team’s environment is 'out of whack,' pointing to scheme fit and communication as core issues.
- Head coach Robert Saleh publicly defended Ward while labeling a costly end-zone interception a 'bad decision' and attributing some problems to footwork and 'some PTSD' after Ward was sacked heavily as a rookie.
- Coverage warns that if Ward does not turn improved protection into clearer reads and better late-game play over the next weeks, the coaching staff could face accountability and Saleh’s job security will come under scrutiny.
