Titans Seek New Head Coach, Request Interview with Raiders' Antonio Pierce

Search for new leadership follows firing of former coach Mike Vrabel after six seasons and a disappointing record.

  • Antonio Pierce, interim coach for the Las Vegas Raiders, has been requested for an interview by the Tennessee Titans as they search for a new head coach.
  • Mike Vrabel, the former head coach of the Titans, was fired after six seasons and a record of 56-48, with a particularly poor performance in his last 24 games.
  • The Titans have also requested interviews with Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.
  • The Raiders finished their season with a record of 8-9, improving to 5-4 after Pierce replaced Josh McDaniels midseason.
  • Both the Titans and the Raiders are also in the process of hiring new general managers, with the Titans having hired their first Black general manager, Ran Carthon, last year.
