Titans Rule Out Kicker Joey Slye for Raiders Game as Matthew Wright Steps In

With Slye sidelined by a right calf injury, Tennessee will elevate Matthew Wright from the practice squad.

Overview

  • Slye was injured during last week’s 22-21 win over the Cardinals and, after missing an extra point, made the game-winning kick before being ruled out for Sunday.
  • Signed to the practice squad on Oct. 8, Wright is the only healthy kicker on the roster and is slated for elevation against Las Vegas.
  • Coach Brian Callahan said Wright is accurate and consistent, noting he likely doesn’t have Slye’s range.
  • The Titans also ruled out edge rusher Arden Key (quadriceps), guard Blake Hance (shoulder) and receiver Bryce Oliver (knee).
  • Right tackle JC Latham is questionable after a full practice Friday, having missed the last four games with a hip injury while veteran Oli Udoh has filled in.
