Tirumala Opens 10-Day Vaikunta Dwara Darshan on Tuesday With Phased Access

Using a first-time e-dip lottery with staggered entry, TTD seeks transparent allocation to handle heavy pilgrim demand.

Overview

  • The first three days are restricted to devotees with pre-issued tokens for Sarva Darshan, with open, ticketless darshan scheduled from January 2 to 8.
  • TTD’s new e-dip random allotment awarded tokens to about 8–12% of registrants, including 92,221 of 1,153,689 applicants from Andhra Pradesh and 49,127 of 607,995 from Telangana.
  • Plans target darshan for about 1.76 lakh online Sarva Darshan token holders over the first three days and roughly 70,000 devotees on Vaikunta Ekadasi, with nearly 20 hours earmarked for the general public.
  • Operations include Srivari Sevak volunteers, strengthened vigilance and around 3,000 district police, plus round-the-clock food, water and Annaprasadam for queued pilgrims.
  • Regional preparations feature a command room and 200 police at Kanipakam where 60,000 devotees are expected daily, extended hours at ISKCON Mysuru and other temples, and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s arrival for darshan on December 30.
