Tirumala Brahmotsavams Showcase India’s Folk and Classical Arts on Day 3

TTD’s nine-day festival features curated performances by troupes from across India for pilgrims during the Vahana Sevas.

Overview

  • Performances preceded the Simha Vahanam procession on Friday, turning the third day’s rituals into a broad cultural presentation.
  • Reports confirm participation by more than 500 artistes from over nine states, with counts varying between 20 troupes with 557 artistes and 21 teams with 536 artists.
  • TTD highlighted North Indian forms such as Chhau, Jhakri, Satriya, Garba and Lavni, alongside Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Bihu, Sambalpuri, Dhak, Gussadi and Tippani.
  • Cultural programmes unfolded across multiple sites including in front of Hamsa Vahanam in Tirumala, Mahathi auditorium, Ramachandra Pushkarini and Annamacharya Kalamandiram.
  • Officials released four books and reviewed security and logistics for the upcoming Garuda Seva on September 28 as the nine-day Brahmotsavams continue.
