Overview
- Multiple outlets reported on Tuesday that Tips Films and Tips Music formally joined the producing team for Rooh, with Kumar Taurani boarding the project.
- Mayank Sharma directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Vishal Kapoor and the film is produced by Taurani, Girissh Kumar, Vikram Khakhar and Sunny Khanna with Vikas Sahni as co-producer.
- Producers say Rooh is a musical‑horror that blends romance with songs built into the plot, and they are targeting a 2027 theatrical release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
- Tips Music will release the soundtrack, a commercial strategy that taps Emraan Hashmi’s track record of popular film songs to extend the film’s reach beyond theatres.
- The partnership reunites Hashmi with the company that produced his 2003 debut Footpath and signals a pan‑Indian distribution push designed to maximize box‑office and music revenue.
