Overview
- All-Ireland champions Tipperary top the nominations with 13, followed by Cork with 11, Limerick with 7, Kilkenny with 6, Dublin with 4, Waterford with 2, and Galway and Wexford with 1 each.
- Eight of the 11 Liam MacCarthy counties are represented on the list, while Clare receive no nominations.
- Limerick’s Adam English and Tipperary duo Robert Doyle and Darragh McCarthy are shortlisted for Young Hurler of the Year.
- All three Hurler of the Year contenders are first-time nominees, and John McGrath is the only member of the trio with a previous All-Star, awarded in 2016.
- Nominations were compiled by a panel of Gaelic Games journalists, and the All-Star team and individual awards will be revealed on RTÉ across 6–7 November.
