Tip and DNA Identify Man Found Under 2021 Dolan Springs Concrete Slab as Chester G. Williams III

A late-July tip led to an Othram DNA match that confirmed the victim’s identity.

Overview

  • Human remains were uncovered in August 2021 by a homeowner breaking up a concrete slab in Dolan Springs, Arizona.
  • Initial analysis determined the victim was a White or Hispanic male in his 40s, about 5'7" to 5'9", killed by a gunshot to the head and buried for at least a decade.
  • A woman reported that a man named Chett Williams lived with her parents in 1998–1999, vanished suddenly, and that her parents poured concrete shortly after his disappearance.
  • Property records showed the caller’s parents, Alvin and Bea Hamilton, owned the parcel and that Chett G. Williams had used the address as his residence.
  • Othram, funded through Project Grace, secured a relative’s DNA sample that matched the remains, and on Sept. 4, 2025, authorities identified the victim as Chester G. “Chett” Williams III; the homicide investigation continues with no arrests reported.
