Overview
- The ninth Times Square ball since 1907 made its inaugural ascent on November 24 atop One Times Square’s 139-foot pole.
- Dubbed the Constellation Ball, it measures about 12.5 feet across, weighs roughly 12,300 to 12,350 pounds, and is clad in 5,280 Waterford crystals.
- For the first time, the ball features circular crystals in three sizes forming the Infinite Edition pattern tied to the theme “Infinite Joy, Infinite Light, Infinite Beginnings.”
- Public, ticketed options now include a Ball Access tour to the new viewing deck and a Premium Ball Experience that lets visitors place and personalize a crystal, with entry prices reported from about $45 to nearly $300.
- The prior ball used from 2008 to 2025 has been retired and is slated for display in a Times Travel immersive experience planned for 2026, following a reported $550 million renovation of One Times Square.
