Tigres Travel to Leagues Cup With Gignac and Angulo in Squad

Tigres departed San Nicolás de los Garza on July 27 to prepare for their Leagues Cup opener against Houston Dynamo on July 29 at Shell Energy Stadium. André-Pierre Gignac joined the traveling party despite suffering a grade-one right ankle sprain in the lead-up to the Toluca match. Gignac returned to play on July 20 for the first time since January plantar tendon surgery. Jesús Angulo traveled with the squad as he nears full fitness in the final phase of rehabilitation from left knee surgery. Uriel Antuna remained in Mexico for further evaluation of a right knee sprain ahead of Tigres’ group stage matchups with San Diego FC on August 1 and LAFC on August 5.
