Presley, a relative of music icon Elvis Presley, has focused his campaign on populist issues, promising to expand Medicaid, cut grocery tax, and battle corruption. His diverse strategies have boosted Democratic hopes for a surprise win.
Incumbent Reeves has been tied to the state's largest public corruption investigation involving misuse of welfare funds, which has added friction to his re-election campaign.
Presley has managed to raise over $11 million for his campaign since January, significantly outrunning Reeves. This surge in fundraising has allowed him to extensively advertise his campaign platforms via various media channels.
