Tigers Trade Pitcher Alex Faedo to Rays for Catcher Enderson Delgado

The Detroit Tigers traded right-hander Alex Faedo to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for minor league catcher Enderson Delgado and cash considerations.
Faedo, 29, was designated for assignment last week after the Tigers signed free-agent reliever Tommy Kahnle, clearing a spot on their 40-man roster.
A Tampa native, Faedo posted a 3.61 ERA in 37 games for Detroit in 2024 but ended the season on the injured list with a right shoulder strain.
Delgado, 20, hit .259 with four home runs and 30 RBIs across Single-A and rookie ball in 2024 and brings additional catching depth to the Tigers’ farm system.
The Rays designated infielder Osleivis Basabe for assignment to make room for Faedo on their 40-man roster.
