Tigers lose pitchers Boyd and Vest to injuries; Boyd will undergo Tommy John surgery

Tigers starter Matthew Boyd left the game with left elbow discomfort and will have Tommy John surgery.
Reliever Will Vest also left the game with a right knee injury and was placed on the injured list.
The Tigers recalled Anthony Misiewicz and activated Matt Manning from the 60-day IL to fill the spots in the staff.
Boyd's injury is a major blow as he will miss significant time, leaving another hole in the Tigers' rotation.
The 34-43 Tigers sit in third place in the AL Central division.
