The Detroit Tigers have hired Jeff Greenberg as their new general manager.
Greenberg joins the Tigers from the Chicago Cubs, where he worked with new Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris.
Harris and Greenberg plan to have a "true partnership" leading the Tigers front office.
Greenberg brings experience from roles with MLB, the Pirates, Diamondbacks, Cubs, and Blackhawks.
His background in analytics and other sports is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the Tigers organization.
